Christmas Season

This must be one of my favorite times of the year. I LOVE decorating for Christmas, entertaining, attending Christmas parties, making fudge, sipping hot wassail, sausage balls, sugar cookies, the sound of Christmas carols playing on the radio, in church, etc. and seeing how much shopping I can get done in a short amount of time. For the record..I have 2 presents to buy! YEAH!

I think shopping frantically at Christmas ruins the joy of the season and takes away from the true meaning of this glorious season. If I had it my way, our families wouldn't exchange gifts but would instead spend days upon days together just doing things we love to do together. Even though this time of year can be so busy, don't forget to take time to stop and remember the greatest gift we ever can ever receive is Jesus Christ. God sent his son for us all, to save us from our retched sins!

Enjoy a few picts from our house!

Our beautiful mantle that my grandparents had in a barn (the Fenwicks) that my other grandfather (Jim Hodges) restored for us! What a treasure!
