Ok, play the movie now

I've been on pause for a month, so here's the happenings of interest since the last post...

Our mission trip was WONDERFUL! Exhausting, but a fabulous time spent using our talents to serve the people of the DR. (In reality, we used Alex's talents and my dish washing skills as I was their instrument washer all week!) God was glorified as we served the people there through several medical talents of our team.

Thanksgiving was fabulous, as we enjoyed time at both families on T-giving day! We started the morning off with the annual Boulevard Bolt in Belle Meade, then headed to Springfield for lunch at the Goodman's and on to the Fenwick's for dinner. This year, sad to say, Claire and I walked the dogs as Alex and Robert were great sports and completed the 5 mile run in right about 42 minutes. Pretty good for not training at all. Alex also experienced his first duck hunt with my dad and Robert to somewhere in Arkansas. They left about 8pm on T-giving day and returned Sunday! He came home with a whole new duck lingo, thanks to my dad. Great thing for me is that he says he could do this only once or twice a year, rather than almost every weekend as my dad does. My poor mom- "duck widow" as I call her!

I cannot believe December has arrived so quickly! We have decorated for our first Christmas in our new house! SO much for (for me at least!) I promise to post pictures! The most exciting part was our trip to the Satterwhite Christmas Tree farm here in Columbia. BEAUTIFUL trees!

This weekend was the Christmas in Columbia Home Tour, which we were able to tour some of the beautiful historic homes built in the 1800s. As you can tell, we are still LOVING Columbia and all the wonderful things a small town has to offer. Have a great week!
