Change..

...is a good thing (most of the time). This time..in our lives, it's such a blessing and a great thing! Alex is buying his own dental practice, which means he will be a small business owner is no time! We are THRILLED with this incredible opportunity that God has truly dropped in our laps.

Alex will be practicing in Columbia, TN (mule capitol of the world) as of Thursday, May 28th. Yes, that's quick... we know! It was ready for immediate occupancy, so he begins his new journey as his own boss this week! WOW! It has really been neat to watch the Lord prepare us for this transition and literally plop it in front of us. When we found out about it from 2 different non-related people, we thought hmmm...we'll consider it. Then, the more we prayed about it and started looking in to it, the more it felt like the perfect opportunity for Alex to walk in to. He will acquire an office, the land, ~1700 patients, equipment, a GREAT office staff, and so much more! We have heard wonderful things about Columbia and would love to know if you know anyone down that way.

For the biggest question..."Does this mean you're moving?" Yes, we will eventually, but not for now. He's going to get settled and commute for a while. It's only ~40 minutes from our house now, and for those in Nashville proper, really on ~50-60 minutes away! We're not moving to China as I tell most, just 2 counties (not countries) away! It has a precious town square with some great restaurants, antique stores, and cute shops!

It continues to amaze me what a wonderful husband I have and how dedicated he is to serving patients of his. With this new opportunity, Alex and I now have a smaller town to get plugged in to in different ways. He's already been invited (thanks to friends of his dad) to the Rotary Club breakfast! Watch out...small town here we come! ;) Now, he'll be able to see his patients out and about, which is what he's always dreamed of. I couldn't be more excited for the new journey that we are starting on together!!
