We're really settling in well, as I took the week off to unpack the majority of boxes and get us "settled" in. It truly feels like home, even though we've been here one week! Our families asked us when we moved in if we were sleeping well. The first night was a little rough, but since then we've slept better than ever before! Maybe it's not having Bella around to wake us up at 4:45 or 5am! It's all we can do to get our lazy butts up in the morning. Today after Alex's 1/2 day of work, we "explored" as I like to call it...AKA found the precious gift/home/clothing/antique stores that Columbia has to offer. I was VERY impressed to find some REALLY cute stores! And...at the same time found 2 new friends! As my sweet husband tells everyone, "I'm in the market for new friends." ;)
It's kinda fun meeting new people and finding out their stories that make them unique! Not to say we lost friends in the move, it's just that we're a bit further away from them and would like to have friends here that we can call to come over for a quick dinner! To those in Nashville reading....we really aren't that far away!!! Come visit...PLEASE!!
It's been such a blessing watching how the Lord prepared us for this move. Surprisingly...in the last 2 weeks, my eyes have been dry of tears! Not one shed over the move! VERY unbelievable, as during the preparation for the move we both could easily cry over the mention of the word m-o-v-e. Praise God, He is faithful when we listen to His call. He will not leave or forsake us! Thank you to those of you who have prayed for us and been such support! We look forward to your visit to our new town!
