Spring is so beautiful!

I absolutely love this time of year! It's finally warm here in Nashville (at least today!). Nothing like this time of year, when everything is in full bloom (including our sinuses). Wanted to share a bit of what we have been up to over the last few weeks!

Bella has graduated from her class at Pet Smart! We took the 8 week puppy obedience class, which has been a great help in teaching her the basics. She passed her test to graduate, which included- sit, stay, down, leave-it, and watch-me- all commands which we find ourselves saying to each other!! I like to say she graduated from "pre-school" in human terms!

I celebrated my 26th birthday on the 15th with friends at La Paz! What a blah age to turn, only 4 more years until 30! One piece of advice...take your own birthday off from work if you have personal days to use (I didn't, and regret it heavily!) Thanks to Alex, he had the perfect celebration lined up, complete with a carrot cake from Becker's Bakery in Donelson! WOW! It was so great! Let me say, I've never had so many cakes for my birthday! The week started with my sweet mom making me a homemade strawberry cake! I must share this recipe soon! It was FABULOUS! Then, Katie Bruce made a delicious brownie cake that we devoured at work, and then Alex's carrot cake topped off the celebration! Talk about not sticking to a diet...

I have finally used my sterling silver, fine china, AND crystal all in one meal! I hosted Easter lunch this year at our house for my family. It turned out wonderfully, but the most exciting was using all these wedding gifts that have been carefully stored and transported one too many times over the last ~2 years!

James Michael tells me this is the "Real" Fenwick family now that I have married off! (aren't they precious! I pray to look as good as my mother one day!!) He says also that Alex and I should not be in the Fenwick Christmas card pict since we now send our own Christmas card! Oh, brothers....

This is Bella's Easter treat...a giant duck that squeaks on every limb, plus the nose! She LOVES this thing! Our floors are constantly dusted from her pushing it all over the house!

Bella meets Scout, Claire and Robert's newest addition (pictured with her brother, Atticus)! So much fun! 3 yellow labs, all now adopted brother/sister and cousins. Sorry Diane, but kids are a far mile away! These are the only children I think we need for a while! It was so much fun watching Atticus, Scout and Bella play! The 3 of them competed for this one toy for at least 30 minutes! We see many more play times in our future!
